About Dr Graham Jones
Hello, my name is Dr Graham Jones, I am a Specialist Paediatrician, with over 20 years of experience in Paediatrics. I am currently completing an International Masters Degree in Neonatology.
I graduated from WITS University as a Medical Doctor in 1997, and after working overseas went on to complete my Specialist Paediatric Training, graduating from the College of Medicine South Africa in 2003. I then did Sub-specialist training in Paediatric Cardiology at the paediatric cardiology unit at the now Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. I unfortunately had to leave this training to care for a sick family member.
This led to the world of Private Paediatrics, where I have been involved in an Associate Practice for the last 18 years. My love for medicine has led me into many interesting areas, for example: I have trained in Emergency and Aeromedicine to air-lift and manage critically ill patients. I have practised Expedition Medicine, where I was the Team Doctor on two Extreme Himalayan Expeditions. However, my abiding love is Paediatrics and particularly Neonatology, which is where I have dedicated my time and training over the last 18 years.
I have developed significant experience in all aspects of General Paediatrics as well as Neonatal Intensive Care, with a particular interest in managing complex cases, including the micro-prem. My approach is to partner with parents and provide transparent, compassionate care, striving always for best practices and evidence-based principles.
